Meet the Founders

Marnee Firestone Schneider, Psy.D., P.A.

Dr. Marnee is a licensed clinical psychologist with an approach grounded in the Bio-Psycho-Social Model.  She has published several articles, been interviewed for national print & online media, has been a guest lecturer at schools and universities, and has been featured on several parenting podcasts/webinars.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and two Master’s degrees, one in Developmental Psychology and the second in School Psychology. Additionally, Dr. Marnee earned her APA-accredited Dual Doctorate in School and Clinical Child Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology.  Dr. Marnee brings over 20 years of professional experience and training to her private practice.  She provides individual therapy, family and parent guidance and therapy, and conducts a variety of evaluations.  Modalities of therapy include cognitive behavioral therapy, positive therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy.

Tamar Z. Oppenheimer, L.C.S.W.

Tamar Oppenheimer is a licensed clinical social worker trained in a variety of theoretical approaches around working with children and families. She received a Bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s in clinical social work from Wurzweiler in New York City and is licensed in both the State of New York and Florida. Tamar has been working with children and adolescents and their families in a variety of settings in her 25-year career. She has published on mental health issues and has written social policy around supporting student health in schools. Tamar is a certified teacher for youth mental health first aid teaching school staff on recognizing mental health struggles in youth and currently works for Miami Dade County Public Schools as a mental health coordinator supporting students and their families by providing mental health support and education.
